Iron Fitting
Distance control is only half the job on this island — the other half is getting the ball to stop where it lands once it does. Iron fitting here is built around descent angle and gapping together, not distance in isolation.
The Number That Decides If a Green Holds
A shallow descent angle can skip a firm, wind-dried green even with a well-struck shot, while a steep one holds regardless of wind. We track the descent angle each iron actually produces, since it depends on more than loft alone — spin rate, apex height, and swing speed all factor in.
Once we know your descent angle by club, we can flag exactly where the set needs more spin, more loft, or a different shaft to reliably hold greens, particularly on approach shots into a headwind coming off the sound.
Every Variable, Mapped Across the Set
Dynamic Lie Angle
Static lie angle at address rarely matches your dynamic lie at impact. We check it live, since a flat or upright lie quietly pushes shots off-line before wind ever gets involved.
Length & Swing Weight
Length changes swing weight, which changes tempo and delivery. We adjust both together so a length change never comes with an accidental feel change.
Shaft Flex & Profile
Shaft profile shapes launch and descent angle independent of the iron head itself. We test flex and weight combinations against your actual tempo, not a generic speed chart.
Get a Set That Holds Firm Greens
Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes and include a full gapping and descent-angle report by club.
