About

We Got Tired of Fittings That Ignored the Wind

Peak Height Fit exists because a launch-monitor number captured in a calm indoor bay doesn't tell you much about how a club performs on an island where the breeze off the sound picks up by mid-morning most days of the year.

Our Story

Built By Fitters Who Track the Wind, Not Just the Carry Number

Peak Height Fit opened on Hilton Head Island in 2016, after years of watching golfers leave standard fittings with beautiful still-air numbers that fell apart the moment a real sea breeze got involved. We built our process around two numbers most studios never mention: apex height and hang time, tested against the crosswind loads golfers on this island actually play in.

Since then we've logged more than three thousand fitting sessions, from first-time visitors renting a set for the week to competitive amateurs prepping for club championships up and down the Lowcountry.

What We Believe

Three Things We Won't Compromise On

Wind Is Part of the Spec

A fitting that only measures still-air flight is half a fitting. Every recommendation here is checked against a realistic crosswind and headwind load before it goes on your build sheet.

No Brand Quota

We stock heads and shafts from every major manufacturer specifically so we're never nudged toward one brand's target instead of your own numbers.

No Purchase Pressure

You'll know the price before you book, and there's never an obligation to buy after a session — the written flight report is yours regardless.

Meet the Fitters Reading Your Wind Numbers

Our fitters combine formal club fitting training with hundreds of hours logging Lowcountry wind days specifically.
